Gone Fishing

Decided to do a fishing theme for my series of 5 pictures. Went to Grange at midnight and stayed til sunrise. The scenery on the jetty and off shore was amazing. Especially when the sun started to rise and we could see it far from the horizon. Awesome experience! :D

Bonus: We caught a bucket loads of crabs and some fishes in the morning.

After midnight. The lights on mainland glistened as it reflected on the waters.
Just sitting on the jetty planks.

The Sun peeking through the buildings
Jetty looks brighter now. Very windy and cold! Still trying to catch more crabs and fishes.
SPECTACULAR MORNING SUN :D favourite picture of the lot!

On a Lazy Saturday afternoon

For my series of pictures to tell a story, an idea was to capture some of the relaxing house chores that I do on a weekend.

Basically doing the laundry, marketing, and baking. Here are some of the raw pictures I took, in collection of more ideas to come :)

Hot and sunny day in the morning, best to do the laundry!
Go get some fresh eggs for the weekly supply

Start on some relaxing hobby, like baking, my favourite past time. I find it very therapeutic.
Orage cupcakes just out of the oven! smelling gooood! :P

End of the day...dark clouds settling in. Sun has just set. Time to keep the clothes.

Wedding Bells

Just did some pre-wedding and wedding shoots for a family friend. Had a really great time! :) Of course, I was just working alongside the professional, with my inferior Canon DSLR.

Thought of using some of these pictures from the wedding day for my series. But we'll see how it goes!

Bride getting her make up done in the hotel room:

Brides bouquet of flowers ready for the ceremony later:
Tiffany and Co. Jewellery from the groom, to be worn on the big day!
Wedding planner organizing everything, and making sure everything is in place before the start of the ceremony.
It was a rainy day, this is the best man holding on to the flower girl's bunch of flowers with the umbrella.
"You may kiss the Bride!" and the crowd rejoices and nlow bubbles to fill the air :) lovely sight!

Congrats Andrew and Mei Yun :D

Driving up Gorge Road

Took a drive up Gorge road before dawn in attempt to see the sunrise. but failed! because the sun wasnt rising from that side and was pretty much blocked by the hills and trees. Had a good drive and chat along the way nevertheless :)

The Bluff

Drove to Victor during the term break. Enjoyed the scenery from the Bluff and had some coronas on the hot day. Very refreshing and relaxing, especially listening to the waters hit the rocks. Amazing view from the top.

Our driver was speeding on the highway -.-"
Got coronas just for the boys
Amazing view!! just spectacular :)

The Garden Side walk part of my house

That side of the house, a bit secluded, and not much used. lotsa plants and leaves overgrowing. Very shady and cool area actually. Lovely at night when lighted with candlelights.

Two or more photos

For my 2nd assignment I was thinking about playing around with shadows. Having a main object, and a shadow that is different to the object itself.

Both the object and the shadow has to have a connection though, a related theme, to both set an atmosphere.

Idea #1
This image shows a shadow at the corner of a person watching the 2 others in a martial arts lesson. However, the object of the shadow is not seen.

Idea # 2

This image uses the shadows to portray a powerful feeling of emotion and fear.

Idea #3

The picture is taken in an angle to show the girl is not holding a balloon. However, the shadow shows that she is. It looks like she is looking at her own shadow wondering why she is holding a balloon in her hands.

Idea #4

This image has the objects which are parts of a clock and throws a shadow of a clock on the wall.

Idea #5
This picture is interesting because it shows a shadow of a girl in the wall. Also, it shows some birds on the wall or, floor as it seems in a different rotation. It has created a new feel and makes your head turn, literally.

Noodles Oodles

Feeling not so home sick with mom's signature Prawn noodles. A Malaysian dish I absolutely miss. with hokkien noodles, prawn stock then mixed with spices, chilli paste, generous large prawns, sliced pork and hard boiled eggs.

COMFORT FOOD AT ITS BEST :)

Gumeracha

Had family over so we took them to touristy places like the famous Gumeracha rocking horse.
Visited the wildlife park next door to pet some kangaroos and feed them. The children loved it!

The little wooden toy factory had lots of cute hand crafted toys.
